Information used by PN
PN stores a session on your browser or device, your reading progress, subscription status, and the email you choose to verify. Payment details are handled by Stripe on the web, or Apple and Google for in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes store purchase records and an app user identifier to verify native subscriptions.PN stores payment identifiers and subscription status, not your full card details.
Operating the service
We use hosting, object storage, email delivery, and operational logging services to provide PN and diagnose errors. Logs exclude email codes, session tokens, and payment card information. Campaign information accompanying an ad link may be associated with a checkout to understand which ads bring readers to PN.
Measuring ads in the app
The iOS and Android apps use Google Analytics for Firebase to count installs, app opens and subscriptions, and share them with Google Ads so we can tell which ads bring readers. This uses an app instance identifier and, where your device allows it, its advertising identifier. It does not include your email or what you read. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier in your device settings.
Measuring ads on the web
On the website, the Meta pixel records page views, chapters opened and checkouts, and Meta cookies remember which ad brought you. When you subscribe, we send Meta the purchase with your email in hashed form, your IP address and browser details, so Meta can match it to the ad. The iOS and Android apps do not use the Meta pixel.
Your choices
You can sign out from your profile. You can delete your account from your profile or at PN account deletion; this erases your email, reading progress, saved stories and sign-ins. Contact us to request access to your information or deletion when you cannot open the app. Some payment records may need to be retained to meet applicable obligations.
Adults only
PN is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; contact us and we will delete it.
