The Bullies Who Own My Nights

A tired young woman with a bruised jaw stands alone in a gravel storage lot, hair hanging over her face.

My jaw throbs when I chew, and I can still taste blood from last night.

I keep my hair down over the bruise and my eyes on the gravel, because that's how you get through a morning at Ridgeway Storage.

Synopsis

Dara Moxley has spent years making excuses for Arlen. He loves her. He is hard on her because he wants them to be a family. Then he locks her son in a storage unit and dares her to call it discipline. Her brother’s best friends are the last men she wants to need. Kade, Rhys, and Bode run the Rustline motorcycle club. They used to laugh when she was scared. Now they are the only ones who see what Arlen is doing. Their club can hide her and Cal. Their protection comes with a price Kade sets himself. Kade says Dara is his. Rhys waits for scraps and calls it loyalty. Bode says nothing and watches her like he already knows how this ends. Dara is safe behind their doors, but every door has a lock, and Kade keeps the key. Arlen is still out there. Her family may never believe her. And once Dara belongs to the Rustline men, there is no clean way to leave.
