His Hidden Blade

The cleaner writes on the inside of the black ledger cover with a delivery slip beside her.

The clipboard on his desk had a coffee cart slip signed at one forty by his night man.

I wrote on the inside of the fake cover. Ask him who carried the cart up. Ask him what he got paid to look away.

Synopsis

Odile Ferrante kills from the dark. She has one rule: never let Ettore Malandri see her. He runs a crime family, and she has watched him for years. She clears his enemies before they get close. He never knows she is there. Then Ettore finds a body at his aquarium meeting and a cleaner's badge in the blood. He does not run. He starts looking for the woman who saves him. When he catches her, he gives her a key instead of a bullet. Now Odile is in his world. His men fear her. His enemies want her. Ettore claims her in front of everyone and tends her wounds himself. Odile has always been a weapon. With him, she almost believes she can be a woman who stays. Danger never leaves her. If anyone touches Ettore, Odile will kill them. She just has to survive long enough to let him hold her.
