Fate's Spare Luna

Pack men laugh at Nova in the yard while Adelie smiles beside Evander.

A man behind me laughed low and said a wolf-less cunt always needs a keeper.

Another said I should be down on my knees thanking Evander for the room.

Adelie smiled at that one.

Synopsis

“You have no wolf. You are not my Luna.” Evander Lowe said it in front of the whole pack. He was my mate. He had called our bond a mistake in private. At the pack meeting, he named another woman Luna and let everyone hear why I was not enough. Then he and his father offered me a breeder's place in his bed, hidden under his real Luna. They thought I would be grateful. I refused. I left with my radio tools and the pride I had left. At Coldwater Station, my wolf-less hands keep the weather radios alive, and no one calls me lesser. Corin Tarn is a rival Alpha's son with grief in his eyes and a family trying to sell him like a treaty. He sees me without pity. He makes me want things I swore off. The old bond still pulls. The pack still wants me back where they can use me. I will not be anyone's spare. Not even for love.
