Fate's Spare Luna

Nova stands alone in the yard at night while light and noise spill from the shut hall.

That night the hall doors shut, and the cheering came through the wood.

They stamped and howled for her, and it went through my chest like a nail.

I stood in the yard and let them have it.

Synopsis

“You have no wolf. You are not my Luna.” Evander Lowe said it in front of the whole pack. He was my mate. He had called our bond a mistake in private. At the pack meeting, he named another woman Luna and let everyone hear why I was not enough. Then he and his father offered me a breeder's place in his bed, hidden under his real Luna. They thought I would be grateful. I refused. I left with my radio tools and the pride I had left. At Coldwater Station, my wolf-less hands keep the weather radios alive, and no one calls me lesser. Corin Tarn is a rival Alpha's son with grief in his eyes and a family trying to sell him like a treaty. He sees me without pity. He makes me want things I swore off. The old bond still pulls. The pack still wants me back where they can use me. I will not be anyone's spare. Not even for love.
