Fate's Spare Luna

Adelie stands at Evander's right with a silver Luna pin, smiling at the crowd.

Adelie stood at his right side with her hair pinned and the silver Luna pin already on her shoulder.

Evander

I'm naming my Luna tonight. It's Adelie Orr.

The hall broke into claps and cheers.

Synopsis

“You have no wolf. You are not my Luna.” Evander Lowe said it in front of the whole pack. He was my mate. He had called our bond a mistake in private. At the pack meeting, he named another woman Luna and let everyone hear why I was not enough. Then he and his father offered me a breeder's place in his bed, hidden under his real Luna. They thought I would be grateful. I refused. I left with my radio tools and the pride I had left. At Coldwater Station, my wolf-less hands keep the weather radios alive, and no one calls me lesser. Corin Tarn is a rival Alpha's son with grief in his eyes and a family trying to sell him like a treaty. He sees me without pity. He makes me want things I swore off. The old bond still pulls. The pack still wants me back where they can use me. I will not be anyone's spare. Not even for love.
