Synopsis

I knew my brother's best friend was dangerous, but my body stopped caring about danger. Veda Sarno keeps her head down and fixes other people's furniture. Then Don Aurelio Varga takes over her brother Hugo's debt and pulls her into his world of private rooms, quiet threats and long looks. He says Hugo is the one line he will not cross. He still watches Veda like he already owns her. Veda has a past that could ruin her. Aurelio has a hold that could swallow her whole. Can she want him without letting him own her?
