Synopsis

Winnie Brask only wanted to drop off a rescue dog. One wrong door puts her in the middle of a mob meeting and in the arms of Don Renzo DiCarlo. Renzo is cold, controlled, and too dangerous to touch. Winnie is broke, mouthy, and holding proof that could bury him. He should make her disappear. Instead, he tells the whole city she is his fiancée. Now she lives in his house, wears his ring, and sleeps one wall away from a man who watches her like he already owns her. His enemies smile at her. His family tests her. Renzo says the engagement is only for protection. The way he looks at her says otherwise. When his people try to send her away, Winnie refuses to go. She is not done with Renzo. And Renzo DiCarlo does not let go of what is his.
